Consider its effect on President Teddy Roosevelt. Upon meeting in Yosemite with mountain sage John Muir in 1903, Roosevelt felt sufficiently inspired to mobilize national support for the burgeoning "forest reserve" system that was to eventually become our network of National Parks. The meeting also led to legislation that ceded Yosemite Valley and the Mariposa Grove from the state of California's control and enabled the official designation of Yosemite National Park.

The only full service conference facility in the Yosemite region, it offers 244 guestrooms and suites and nine individual conference rooms including a 6,000-square foot Grand Ballroom with floor-to-ceiling windows and meeting space for up to 500.

The Grand Ballroom can be divided into five sections and additional meeting facilities include a dedicated 16-seat formal boardroom, 1,000 square-foot Counties Ballroom, and 2,575 feet of pre-function space.
