Historic Hotel Jeffery
The Historic Hotel Jeffery was established in 1851. The Hotel Jeffery's origins were as a Saloon and Fandango Hall, until George Jeffery purchased the Hotel in 1852. This hotel was a favorite stop-over for folks from naturalist John Muir to writer & poet Ralph Waldo Emerson. The hotel became a busy lodging site during the days of the California Gold Rush with many coming out west to seek their fortunes.
Some features of the Jeffery Hotel are:
The Magnolia Saloon. This old time saloon retains a rustic old West charm, with an original rustic bar and wood plank floor, rock and adobe walls.
Cherylann's Dining Parlor. This restaurant features delicious meals in a completely restored dinning room. Enjoy appetizers that sizzle, delectable entrees and gourmet salads.
Cedar Room. If you have a special event planned such as a wedding reception, family reunion or dance this is a perfect location. Cedar Room can be decorated however you choose. This larger Banquet Facility, seats 100 to 120 comfortably and is available for your special event.
Lodging Rooms. Each of the 21 rooms is decorated the way your grandmother would have liked it. Comfort is the key ingredient here. You’re sure to find a wonderful room to relax in at the end of any busy day.
