The Ahwahnee Hotel is located in majestic Yosemite National Park.  This hotel, built in 1927 is a National Historical Landmark and one of the most distinctive resort hotels in North America. You will find the Ahwahnee Hotel in the center of the Yosemite Valley, an ideal location to view the Yosemite Falls, Half Dome, and Glacier Point.

Completed in 1927, The Ahwahnee features a unique blend of design influences including Art Deco, Native American, Middle Eastern and Arts & Crafts Movement. These elements can be seen in every aspect of the hotel including stenciling, woodwork, lighting fixtures and china patterns. Every room is designed for comfort and visual delight and reflects the natural surroundings and Native American influence of Yosemite.

Some of the most well loved aspects of The Ahwahnee are its grand public spaces featuring giant stone fireplaces, massive hand-stenciled beams, rich tapestries and elegant stained glass.

Ahwahnee Accommodations

Accommodations at the Ahwahnee feature 123 rooms including 99 hotel rooms with one king or two double beds, as well as 24 cottages. The Ahwahnee is proud to host annual events and offer specials such as the Vintners Holiday, Bracebridge Dinner, and Romantic Getaways. Yosemite is a popular national park so make sure to reserve your room at the Ahwahnee well in advance of your trip. 

	Hotel Rooms Hotel rooms in the main building are appointed in rich fabrics, warm woods and Native American motifs. They offer exceptional views of Yosemite Valley's spectacular scenery including Half Dome, Yosemite Falls and Glacier Point.
	Parlors The four parlors are luxuriously furnished and provide unparalleled views of the most spectacular features of the valley. The parlors combine with hotel rooms to create suites. (Not available individually)
	Junior Suites The El Dorado Diggins Suite has been a private dining room, a cocktail lounge and even a chapel during World War II when the Navy used the hotel for convalescing service men. This suite comfortably sleeps four and features a sunken living room, large picture window, slate entry, and the only Jacuzzi bathtub in Yosemite.
	The Mary Curry Tressider Suite, once a private bedroom suite, was transformed into guest accommodations in 1970. With a four-poster canopy bed and rich color palette, the room has a decidedly romantic aura. On her trip to Yosemite in 1983, Queen Elizabeth II stayed in this suite.
	Cottages Located among the dogwoods and pines on the hotel grounds, these rustic cottages have the comfort of a mountain lodge -- with Native American accents and natural wood furnishings. Each room has a private bath, television, telephone, small refrigerator and small stone patio. Though air-conditioning is not available in the cottages, shade trees and ceiling fans keep the cottages comfortable during the summer months.
