Grand Teton National Parks :

Grand Teton National Park is open every day throughout the year, although the visitors centers within the park are closed on Christmas Day.  However although the park itself is open all year, many of the park lodges and services are not operational all year.  It is important that you check carefully the operational hours for each individual lodge and or guest service when making your Grand Teton National Park vacation plans.

Weather & Climate

The first heavy snows fall by November 1 and continue through March with snow and frost possible during any month. Summer days usually range in the 70's and 80's with cool nights in the 40's. Summer thunderstorms are common. Mild to cool temperatures are often common through September and October. Raingear recommended during spring, summer and fall. Sub-zero temperatures are common throughout winter and demand multi-layered clothing, hats, mittens and cold weather boots.

Public Transportation

There are no public transportation services available in the Jackson Hole or Grand Teton National Park area.  However there are several car rental agencies that would be happy to serve your needs.

Air Travel

Jackson Hole does have an international airport within its limits which serves both commercial and charter air services. Local taxi, shuttle and rental car service are available from the airport. Reserve your rental car when reserving your flight. Rentals are often in short supply.
