Glacier Whitewater Adventure

Glacier Whitewater Adventure Glacier Country's high mountain peaks accumulate large amounts of snow each winter, which successively supplies an abundance of water for the Flathead River's Three Forks. Around spring time, folks from around the world begin to descend upon Glacier Country to relish the mountains, valleys and rivers, eager to test their skills and to challenge the whitewater Flathead River's Middle Fork.

Accommodating 6 - 10 people, the rafts range in size from 12' to 16' in length. Although most of the trips are paddleboat guided, oar-guided trips are also available.

These trips happen regularly between the dates of May - Sept seven days a week.

Departure Place & Dates:	Great Northern Whitewater Resort, Mid-May to late September.
Trip Length:	2 - 2½ hours in May – mid June to 4 hours by late August- early September
River Rating & Rapids:	II-IV (Class III-IV in late May to early July; to moderate Class II-III later in the summer) and 9 rapids (Tunnel, Bonecrusher, Toilet bowl, Big Squeeze, Screaming Right-hand Turn, Jaws, the Narrows, CBT, & Pump House)
River Miles:	8 river miles
Rafting Times:	10:00, 11:00, 1:30, 3:00 and 4:30* (Check in ½ hour early)
Age Limits:	Ages 5 & up - age is dependant upon weather & river conditions.

We provide:

Type V approved lifejackets complete rain suits for adults and children professional guides on every trip delicious meals on specified trips and round-trip transportation are provided from our parking area.
Please lock your belongings in your car and leave your keys with our office staff.

We rent wetsuits and booties:

Booties are $2.50 for 1/2-day trips or $5.00 for full day.
Wetsuits are $7.00 for 1/2 day and $10.00 for full day and include the booties.
For all whitewater trips prior to July 1, wetsuits are mandatory at a reduced rate. We recommend wearing polar fleece or poly-pro with wetsuits and rainwear on cold days. We provide changing rooms for your convenience. We go rain or shine!

You supply:

You supply swimsuit, shorts & shoes that you don't mind getting wet, or you may rent our booties. Footwear must be worn on the river. No flip-flops or slip-ons. Sandals are available in our retail store. A suggested packing list will be sent for overnight trips. Please notify your guide if you are taking personal medication or have medical conditions that we should be aware of.

POLICIES:

Reservations and Cancellation Policy:

All reservations should be made in advance and payment is required at that time by credit card to guarantee your space. Overnight and group trips require the balance in full 45 days prior to departure. We encourage you to call and re-confirm your reservation numbers, date, and time at least 3 days in advance. All cancellations must be made with a Reservations Manager. In the event of a cancellation on overnight trips or on any promo related trips, a partial refund of 25% will be given with notice of 46 days or more. Cancellations for all other daily river trips require notice of 3 days or more to receive a 25% refund. We reserve the right to cancel trips due to weather, river levels (too high or too low), or insufficient numbers of people (4 min.). Full refunds will be made for these reasons. Please arrive 30 minutes prior to departure.

For day trips we need 48 hours notice, otherwise there will be a 25% cancellation fee. On our overnight trips your money is fully refundable if you cancel at least 30 days prior to your trip departure. If you cancel less than 30 to 14 days prior, there will be a 25% cancellation fee. No refunds will be given for any reason less than 14 days prior to departure.
