Glacier Highland Resort

Glacier Highland Resort is the perfect Glacier National Park lodging option.  From its three buildings you can enjoy the view of glacier covered peaks as you relax in the wooded atmosphere of the resort surroundings.  Glacier Highland is located just outside the entrance to West Glacier and across the street from the historic Amtrak Depot. The motel complex is comprised of 33 units in three separate buildings each with it's own unique Lodge Style decor.

Here you can sit back and enjoy the serenity of the mountains and watch the abundant wildlife. Each room is finished in knotty-pine and has one to three comfortable beds to each room. New queen beds in the rooms guarantee you a relaxing night after a day of hiking. All rooms have TV with a movie channel at no extra charge. All rooms are non-smoking and pet–free. 

Glacier Highland Resort makes a great “home base” for you Glacier National Park trip.  It is a great location for all activities both within the park and surrounding areas, including float trips on Flathead Lake, running the Middle Fork River, hiking up to Hidden Lake.  You’ll enjoy taking a boat ride on Lake McDonald, and driving the Going-to-the-Sun Road. When the fun is done make your way back "home", kick off your hiking boots and soothe your trail weary muscles in a nice hot shower.

Glacier Highland Resort restaurant offers handmade 1/3 pound burgers with fresh cut fries, soups made from scratch, cinnamon rolls, pies, and enormous muffins all from the in house bakery. You will enjoy a hearty homemade Breakfast of pancakes, eggs, and a thick slice of Black Forest ham. These breakfasts are the perfect start for a day of exploring! And when you’re finished playing you’ll enjoy a Micro Beer or a glass of Wine with a scrumptious dinner finished off with a large piece of Huckleberry Pie served ala mode.

Joe and his staff couldn't be nicer...the rooms were clean and comfortable. Nice view of mountains...loved staying across of AMTRAK depot...fun watching people come and go. The food in restaurant was always good. Small town atmosphere...friendly people...will stay here every time I come to West Glacier!

Very convenient when you travel by train...just walk across the street. Hate to give such a good recommendation...don't want too many people to know about this gem!

I've been all over Asia and Europe. Stayed in some of the finest hotels. This was my third trip to the Glacier Highland in ten years and I'm astonished by the continual improvements the owners make. The food has always been excellent. Great hot tub. Rooms have always been clean and comfy. Great customer service. Beds don't have any "valleys". Nothing beats the fresh air of GNP over Hong Kong or Seoul. Thanks and keep up the great work. Incredible baked goods. Oh, and GNP was great too.
