Good News First
Â
Good news for the Montana, cooler weather is helping control the wildfires that have torn through here and the western part of the country. In Northwest Montana fire bosses have decided to lower fire restrictions across the region early next week, largely because of a significant change in weather and fire behavior. We should be similar good news in other parts of the West as well.
Although fire restrictions have been lowered travelers should be aware that continued smoky conditions in many areas are evidence that the 2007 fire season isn’t finished. Be aware of fires and fire restrictions in your area and areas to which you are traveling, particularly wooded areas such as are found at national parks across the country.
Get out there and enjoy the rest of the summer!
