A Night At The Lodge
by Astrid SiegerÂ
I stayed at The Lodge at Whitefish Lake in the community of Whitefish outside Glacier National Park for one night recently. It was wonderful. The front desk was exceptionally helpful and friendly upon check in. Our room had a kitchenette (sink, coffee maker, and small fridge), a great bathroom that included a huge sunken tub, shower with pressure control showerhead, two sinks and plenty of room to move about; the room had a large king size bed and sitting area with a fireplace, two upholstered chairs and flat screen television. The Lodge was built in 2006 so everything was very new, clean and well kept.Â

The room was great but the best part was the view! Our balcony over-looked, first the wonderful pool area, and beyond that the sparkling waters of Whitefish Lake. At night the pool area was lit up with a soft glow as guests enjoyed a soak in the hot tub. In the morning we opened the heavy curtains and enjoyed the morning sun shining on the Whitefish Range that surrounds the lake. The Burlington Northern Railroad runs along the range and a train was passing just in view. It was one of the most pleasant and peaceful mornings in recent memory.  The Lodge at Whitefish Lake offers a Breakfast Buffet as well as an attentive concierge service. Our car was valet parked in a heated garage and well taken care of. I enjoyed my stay here immensely and look forward to coming back, hopefully for a longer stay next time!
