Time to gear up for another great year at America’s national parks. The fun starts early in the year aYellowstone National Park. Check out the line up in January:
“Winter Speaker Series,” Grizzly & Wolf Discovery Center
The annual Winter Speaker Series is sponsored by the Grizzly and Wolf Discovery Center and Yellowstone National Park. The programs often include slide shows and are always interactive. Participants get to ask all the questions they would have just wondered about had an expert not been right at hand. Program topics range from elk and bison to thermal features and geology. Evening programs will be held throughout January and February at the Center.Spam Cup #2
Citizens Ski Races
The second in a series of citizen’s races, the Spam Cups are designed to be fun for everyone. And, of course, the winner gets SPAM! Moonlight Basin, Big Sky NASTAR Racing (Every Fri, Sat, Sun)
NASTAR runs from 11 Am - 3PM, Friday to Sunday on Powder River.
WINTERFEST 2007, Island Park, Idaho
Torch parade, Fireworks display, Big Sky Sno-Ball, Big Sky Resort
This exciting event for the family will feature ice sculpture exhibitions, an ice bar complete with snow tables and stools, children’s bouncer room, drink and food specials, and live music. Join us in the evening from 6-8 pm for an outdoor party in the Sno-bar.
“Ol’ Ladies Snowmobile Race”
22nd Annual Helen Thompson Ol’ Ladies X-C Snowmobile Classic in Island Park, Idaho.
WYSEF Adventure - Moonlight Ski
Meet WYSEF staff and board members at the Trailhead Building at 7:00 PM ready to head out for a moonlight ski. Plan on being out for about 2 hours.
