Premium Rooms & Suites

The Cavalry Post: Twenty-six rooms united by a tranquil, reflecting pool at the Cavalry Post afford some of the most luxurious accommodations at Lajitas. Each room boasts a unique decor ranging from cowboy chic with cowhide rugs and rough-hewn saddles to Victorian with softer accoutrements and clawfoot tubs. Situated on the site where General John J. “BlackJack” Pershing’s cavalry post was built at the turn of the 20th century, our updated post maintains the spirit with the amenities of the present.

La Cuesta: Adjacent to the swimming pool, La Cuesta’s 12 guestrooms are flanked by a lovely courtyard.  Six of the La Cuesta guestrooms are one-bedroom suites with decor inspired by characters of Big Bend past and present including El Vaquero or the Cowboy Suite, El Cazadero or the Hunter Suite and many others.  Ideal for family accommodations, several of the rooms may be made to adjoin a standard room with a double queen.

Boardwalk Suites:
The Boardwalk Suites are the largest luxury suites available at Lajitas.  Built in 2005, these suites offer an additional 10 two-bedroom suites or 20 one-bedroom suites, for a total of 92 guest rooms at Lajitas.  These fabulous suites feature charming Southwestern décor; are complete with a living room, kitchen, and patio or balcony; and are conveniently located across from the hotel lobby and Boardwalk shops.

The Badlands Hotel:
Revisit the Old West at the Badlands Hotel situated above the Lajitas Boardwalk. Cowboy bordello interiors are elegant reminders of cowboy-days past. The 15 delightful rooms within this historic facade don iron beds, red velvet comforters, and Mexican-tile bathrooms, while views from the second-story rooms reach far and wide.

The Officers Quarters:
The Ultimate Hideout’s premier accommodations, the Officers' Quarters overlook the Rio Grande River Corridor and the magnificent mountains in Mexico. They are located just steps away from the Agave Spa, the Candelilla Café and the Thirsty Goat Saloon. These 16 junior suites offer patios or balconies and French doors from which to enjoy the breathtaking beauty of the Big Bend as well as a beautiful courtyard. Inside relax in the comfort of the living area or the elegantly rustic bedroom with an artistically tiled bathroom.
